One Million Visitors

One Million Visitors

Our one millionth visitor was native Philadelphian Dr. Oliver Brooks, who was visiting the Barnes with his family on Thursday, October 15, 2015.

We've achieved many milestones together since opening our new building on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in 2012, including:

  • 19,000 students from the School District of Philadelphia have visited to explore the art, ideas, and histories represented in the Barnes collection
  • Over 1,000 public programs have educated and entertained adults, children, and families
  • More than 85,000 households have deepened their engagement with the Barnes Foundation by becoming members

Thanks a million!
