Sylvie Patry Named Barnes Foundation’s Chief Curator

Sylvie Patry has been named the deputy director for collections and exhibitions and Gund Family chief curator of the Barnes Foundation. Patry has spent the last decade at the Musee d’Orsay, as Chief Curator of Impressionist and post-Impressionist paintings. She also recently curated “Discovering the Impressionists: Paul Durand-Ruel and the New Painting,” at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. A specialist on the topic of nineteenth-century French painting, she has also taught at the Ecole du Louvre, Paris.
