Horticulture
The Barnes Foundation's Arboretum program has been educating students in the field of horticulture since its creation under Laura Leggett Barnes in 1940. Our 17 experienced instructors use a combination of classroom lecture, garden visits, self-guided learning, and hands-on practice to increase your knowledge of botanical science and plant history, as well as your aesthetic pleasure.
