In the breathtaking setting of its 12-acre arboretum, the Barnes Foundation’s Merion campus is the perfect place for your next event. Whether you are planning an evening cocktail reception, an intimate afternoon garden party, or a corporate meeting, Dr. Barnes’s residence and the surrounding gardens offer a unique venue for you and your guests.
At the Merion campus, host a variety of events:

The Residence
The former home of Dr. and Mrs. Barnes provides a distinct and charming venue for intimate special events. Choose one or both of two available spaces: the Dining Room and the Library. The Dining Room can accommodate a seated dinner for 40 guests and a reception for 50. The Library can accommodate a seated dinner for 30 guests and a reception for 40.
The Gardens
Originally curated by Laura Barnes, the 12-acre grounds are full of lush ornamental plants from around the world. Choose from serene backdrops like the Garden Terrace, the Rose Garden, or the Great Lawn for a memorable al fresco event. All outdoor events are weather permitting.
