Recently showcased at Miami’s famed Ultra Music Festival, DJ Serop Buldukyan brings you house music inspired by ’70s and ’80s disco funk. The evening continues with a powerful performance by the Enon Tabernacle Mass Choir.

With cocktails and after-hours collection access, the Barnes is the city's cultural hotspot for Philly's young industry leaders.

Les Barnesiennes: the Women of the Barnes Foundation

Dr. Barnes surrounded himself with a diverse staff, many of whom were women hired over a decade before American women were granted suffrage. They were secretaries, instructors, authors, editors, and members of the board. Some remained loyal employees throughout their lives, even assembling their own extensive collections of art and antiques.

Architecture and Musical Evolution, featuring David Byrne

Known as the force behind Talking Heads and creator of the highly regarded record label Luaka Bop, David Byrne also works as a photographer, film director, author, and solo artist, and has published and exhibited visual art for more than a decade. Join the conversation as this legendary musician and artist leads an eye-opening talk exploring the relationship between music and architecture. Discover the influence that architecture has had on the evolution of music and learn how Byrne uses architecture in his own harmonic innovations. The night concludes with a reception with refreshments for purchase. Nina Athanassoglou-Kallmyer, art history professor at the University of Delaware, explores the role of the studio in Cézanne’s artistic practice and how it served as the virtual stage for pieces from portraits to still lifes. Athanassoglou-Kallmyer contributed to the Cézanne exhibition catalogue; a book signing follows the lecture.
