Invasive plants have caused problems of varying magnitude in the Eastern United States. This course will discuss how invasives differ from non-invasives, the negative impacts of invasives from the 18th Century to the present day, notorious invasives and their habitats, and management strategies for reducing or eliminating the negative impacts of invasives. Attention will also be given to common weeds that grow in gardens and to habitats disturbed by human activity.
