First Friday! In Full Bloom

In honor of the Philadelphia Flower Show, the Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra performs Aaron Copland’s Appalachian SpringRounding off the evening is a gallery talk on the Shonibare exhibition, and a talk on the Merion Arboretum will have everything coming up roses!

Program:
6–9 pm: collection and special exhibition access
6–8:30 pm: Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra was founded by award-winning Music Director Jeri Lynne Johnson. Described by the Philadelphia Inquirer as “first-class on every level,” BPCO musicians trained in the nation’s leading music conservatories, among which The Juilliard School, the Curtis Institute, and the Eastman School of Music.
6:30, 7:30, and 8:30 pm: The Collector 20-min. screening
7–7:20 pm: Yinka Shonibare gallery talk
8–8:20 pm: top 20 plants in 20 minutes with Horticulture Education Coordinator Nicole Juday
