Teacher Workshop: Exploring Impressionism

Explore the influences of nature and art through the lens of the Impressionists.  This workshop is focused on the science and art curriculum by providing an in-depth tour of the Barnes Foundation’s Impressionist works at the Philadelphia campus.  Then, the workshop moves to the Barnes Foundation’s arboretum where teachers will delve into the natural landscape with a tour and hands-on activities at the Merion Campus. Collect tools, lesson plans, and art activities you can use with your students to respond to nature in the way that they Impressionists might have done.  Lunch provided.  Must provide own transportation from Philadelphia to Merion campus.
Teachers can earn Act 48 credit.
