The Barnes Foundation offers docent-guided tours to student groups on Monday through Wednesday mornings.
A guided tour provides an engaging learning experience at any grade level. Artworks in the collection serve as windows through which we can study the world
while enriching the school curriculum. The Education Department encourages teachers to share
information on the classroom curriculum in order to create a gallery lesson relevant to the students'
experience and learning. Gallery lessons at the Barnes promote interdisciplinary as well as
cross-cultural connections.
- Guided tours for school groups grades K-12 are available on Monday through Wednesday mornings, September through June.
- All school group visits must be scheduled in advance by contacting the Education Department at (610) 667-0290,
ext. 3825.
- Advance payment must be made one month prior to the visit date.
- Admission for K-12 groups is $5 per person including adults. Admission for college groups is $10 per person.
- Various tour themes are available to suit the class curriculum.
- Multiple visits are encouraged to build on the learning experience in the gallery.
