Visual Resources at the Barnes Foundation

Requesting Images
The Barnes Foundation welcomes the use of images of its collections. Please refer to the Foundation's Image Reproduction policy governing reproductions of its images.

Study and Personal Use
Images for study and presentation purposes or personal use may be ordered using the Study Image Request Form or by emailing your request to rights@barnesfoundation.org.

Rights and Reproduction
For permission to reproduce an image in print, electronic, or broadcast media please email your request to rights@barnesfoundation.org. Fees are determined on an individual basis. Applicants should expect to receive a response within 1-2 weeks.

Please include details of your project:
  1. For-profit or non-profit status of the requesting institution
  2. Title, author(s), publisher, media format(s)
  3. Expected publication date, print run, and distribution
  4. Image reproduction size (i.e. 1/4, 1/2, full-page, cover)

Licensing
The Barnes Foundation occasionally licenses images for use in merchandise. Reproductions of artwork in the collection must preserve the integrity of the work in accordance with the Foundation's reproduction policy. Licensed product designs must be approved by the Foundation prior to production or marketing. Contact the Foundation by emailing your request to rights@barnesfoundation.org.

Forms and request may also be faxed to the attention of the Visual Resources Manager, Fax: 610-664-4026.

Please Note
The Foundation reserves the right to limit requests where the number of images requested is considered excessive. Not all works in the collection have been photographed. Additional charges may be applied for new photography or rush orders.
