About the Class

This one-day workshop will focus on several iconic paintings in the Barnes collection. We will touch on historical and biographical information, but the main intention is to try to understand how paintings engage our sense of sight and how artists communicate using their own visual language.

Instructor

Leslie Bowen

Bowen previously taught at Lebanon Valley College, where she received the Nevelyn J. Knisley Award for Inspirational Teaching. A painter, she exhibits extensively and has participated in summer programs at the Paris American Academy, the Salzburg International Summer Academy, and Southampton College in New York.
