About the Class

Learn to see and better appreciate paintings. In a contemporary art world filled with conceptual art and installations, why do paintings continue to hold our interest? What do paintings have in common with sculpture, music, and poetry? Explore these questions and begin to experience the arts in a new and fresh way. This short course is appropriate for both the seasoned art enthusiast and the novice.

Capacity: 18 students

Deborah Krupp

Krupp has been teaching the Barnes method of aesthetic appreciation for over ten years, first for the Violette de Mazia Foundation and now for the Barnes Foundation.
