About the Class

More than any other medium, works on paper can convey a sense of immediacy, spontaneity, and intimacy as we observe marks issued directly from the artist’s hand. The Barnes has a rich collection of works on paper, including pieces in ink, graphite, watercolor, tempera, pastel, and gouache. Learn about the process used to create such works and explore their visual impact.
