We are committed to providing the best possible experience. Per current guidelines from the City of Philadelphia, face masks are welcome but not required.

A limited number of visitors will be permitted in the galleries at one time. Please keep tickets available for checkpoints throughout your visit.

Contactless payment is available and encouraged throughout the building.

Hand-sanitizing stations are available throughout the building.

Please book ahead for tickets, which helps keep transactions contactless. 
Order tickets online or via phone at 215.278.7200. You may print your ticket at home or have it handy on your smartphone prior to arrival. Members are encouraged to reserve tickets online.

The Barnes Shop is open during operating hours; you can also shop online. Members receive a 10% discount.

Every purchase supports our mission in art education.

Philadelphia's renowned Constellation Culinary Group offers delicious fare at the Barnes.

Lunch, brunch, and cocktails are available at the Garden Restaurant from Thursday to Monday, 11am – 4pm, with indoor and garden seating (weather permitting) available. Reservations are strongly encouraged; reserve on OpenTable. Last seating is at 3pm.

Located in the Annenberg Court, Reflections Café is a relaxing spot to enjoy lunch and small bites. Choose from freshly made seasonal salads, sandwiches, and desserts as well as assorted beverages including wine and craft beer. Open Thursday to Monday, 11am – 5pm.

Members receive a 10% discount.

No admission tickets required.

The comfort and enjoyment of our guests is important to us, and we strive to accommodate your needs.

Wheelchairs
Our entire facility is accessible to standard-size wheelchairs. Because of the small size of the collection galleries, some larger mobility devices may not be accommodated in all rooms.

A limited number of wheelchairs are available on-site, and they will be cleaned and disinfected after each use. No reservation is necessary.

Restrooms
Wheelchair-accessible restrooms are located on the Lower Level and in the Garden Restaurant.

Parking
Designated parking is available for visitors with disabilities in our parking lot on Pennsylvania Avenue between 20th and 21st Streets. Vehicles must display a current state-issued disability placard or license plate. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Assistive Listening Devices
Assistive listening devices amplify and clarify sound by cutting down or eliminating ambient noise. Headsets and T-coil loops are distributed free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis by request to our staff.

Sign Language Interpreters
With advance notice, we are happy to provide sign language interpreters for reserved docent tours. Please make your request at least three weeks prior to your visit. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Email us for more information.

Service Animals
Trained service animals are welcome at the Barnes. No pets or other animals are permitted.

Personal Care Assistants
Any paid Personal Care Attendant (PCA) accompanying a visitor with severe disabilities will be admitted free of charge. A request for free admission for a PCA should be made at the time the visitor with disabilities purchases their ticket. Visitors who wish to purchase advance tickets should email us or call 215.278.7200 to request a complimentary ticket for a paid PCA.

Discounts
To help make the Barnes accessible to all, we offer free admission to ACCESS/EBT cardholders, including those receiving Medical Assistance only.

We ask that everyone be respectful of one another, the artwork, and our facility as we work together to provide a safe, inspiring environment.

Masks and face coverings are welcome but not required.

Photography for personal use is allowed, unless otherwise posted. No flash, tripods, or selfie sticks. For press inquiries or information about commercial photography, please contact our communications office.

Notetaking and sketching are permitted with graphite pencil and notebooks no larger than 9 x 12 inches.

If our galleries are crowded, we may ask you to stop sketching, writing, or taking photos. This helps us maintain movement throughout the space

Please note that guests should avoid bringing coats and large bags unless necessary for medical reasons. All bags will be inspected upon entry; backpacks, backpack-style child carriers, oversize strollers, umbrellas, bulky coats, and bags and packages larger than 12 x 10 inches must be stowed in our free coat check or lockers on the Lower Level.

Help us keep the collection safe by keeping your distance—stay about two feet from any wall. You can use the line on the floor as a helpful guide. Please don't touch paintings, frames, furniture, or ironwork.

Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Food and drink are not allowed in the galleries.

Breastfeeding is welcome wherever the parent is comfortable. Bottles and other types of feeding are not allowed in the galleries.

The Barnes is a smoke-free building.

In certain circumstances, guests who violate our guidelines may be asked to leave.

Driving
The Barnes is located along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, just off I-676. Get directions.

Parking
On-site parking is accessible from Pennsylvania Avenue between 20th and 21st Streets. (For GPS directions, use this address: 2020 Pennsylvania Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19130)

Visitors: $12 for up to 4 hours; $2 each additional hour
Members: $10 for up to 4 hours; $2 each additional hour

Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. Members must show a membership card to receive their discount rate and can pick up a voucher at our ticketing desks.

Valet parking is suspended until further notice.

The Barnes is within walking distance of several public transportation stops, including the SEPTA #7, #32, #33, #38, #48, and #49 bus routes.

We're also Stop 7 on the Philly PHLASH, a quick and inexpensive shuttle service that stops at historic and cultural destinations throughout Center City.

Coming by bike? Our bike racks are located on Pennsylvania Avenue.

We're also home to an Indego bike share station.
