Paul Cézanne left a lasting impact on the art of the 20th century. What was it about Cézanne’s painting that inspired generations of artists? Immerse yourself in the Barnes collection and analyze Cézanne’s paintings alongside the work of Renoir, Matisse, Picasso, and Modigliani. Through the process of close looking, gain a better understanding of why Cézanne continues to be so influential for artists today.

Leslie Bowen

Leslie Bowen, MFA, previously taught at Lebanon Valley College, where she received the Nevelyn J. Knisley Award for Inspirational Teaching. A painter, she exhibits extensively and has participated in summer programs at the Paris American Academy, the Salzburg International Summer Academy, and Southampton College in New York.
