About the Event

Join Barbara Buckley, senior director of conservation and chief conservator of paintings, for exciting updates on conservation projects, including an in-depth look at the ongoing study and treatment of Paul Cézanne’s The Large Bathers. This study is part of our work toward the publication of Cézanne in the Barnes Foundation, our forthcoming catalogue raisonné of the 69 works by Cézanne in the collection. See how scientific analysis and technical imaging enhance our understanding of an artist’s materials and working methods.

Funding for this artwork’s conservation was generously provided through a grant from the Bank of America Art Conservation Project.

This talk takes place in the Comcast NBCUniversal Auditorium.
