About the Event

Enjoy an evening of art, live music, film, cocktails, and light fare at our monthly First Friday mixer.

Tonight’s music and film screening are presented in partnership with the Philadelphia Asian American Film Foundation (PAAFF) as part of their annual film festival. The group offers a year-round platform for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander storytellers and their stories. Through film, art, and community engagement, PAAFF aims to uplift voices that reflect the richness, complexity, and resilience of the Asian and Pacific Islander diaspora.

Performances by the AAPI Jazz Collective, an ensemble of established AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander)-identifying jazz musicians and artists, will reimagine folk and classical songs from a wide array of Asian cultures within a jazz context. The collective has performed at the Lunar New Year Celebration at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the New York Asian Film Festival, and the Red Pavilion in Brooklyn. Their debut album, Identity, was released through Origin Records in July.

Performances at 6:30 & 7:45pm

PAAFF film screening: 6:40 pm (Comcast NBCUniversal Auditorium):
