About the Event

Enjoy an evening of art, live music, film, cocktails, and light fare at our monthly First Friday! mixer. Tonight’s program is presented in partnership with the Philadelphia Latino Film Festival—the region’s only festival showcasing the extraordinary and innovative work of emerging and established Latinx filmmakers.

Our collaboration with PHLAFF brings renowned Cuban singer/songwriter Daymé Arocena, hailed by NPR as “a magical mash-up of the Queen of Latin Music, Celia Cruz, and the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin.” With her captivating charisma and radiant spirit, Arocena effortlessly blends traditional Santerían chant, jazz stylings, contemporary R&B influences, and Afro-Cuban rhythmic complexity for audiences worldwide.
