About the Tour
Join us for an exclusive virtual tour focused on Pablo Picasso and his relationships with Dr. Barnes and with other artists in the Barnes collection.
Pablo Picasso died 50 years ago at age 91, yet we continue to feel the influence his unfettered creativity on the art of the 20th century and beyond. Albert Barnes knew Picasso personally and bought several works in the collection directly from the artist. While exploring his works in the galleries, you’ll learn about Picasso’s life, importance in the Barnes collection, and friendships and rivalries with Georges Braque and Henri Matisse.
