About the Tour

Known for his freewheeling bohemian lifestyle, Italian painter Amedeo Modigliani developed a radical approach to painting the human figure inspired by African sculpture. His friendship with Chaïm Soutine, the struggling Lithuanian artist, began when the two were living in Paris’s Montparnasse neighborhood. This virtual tour for members will explore the colorful characters and their contributions to modern art.
