About the Tour

Take an in-depth tour of our new special exhibition, Berthe Morisot: Woman Impressionist. Like her colleagues—who included Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Claude Monet, and Edgar Degas—artist Berthe Morisot painted scenes of modern life and often worked outdoors. With a sketchlike style that pushed impressionist painting techniques to new limits, she made canvases that blur the distinctions between inside and outside, private and public, finished and unfinished. Find out more about her iconic works and her pioneering role in the impressionist movement.

After the tour, you're invited to view the collection galleries and revisit the exhibition.
