About the Event

Every first Sunday of the month, the Barnes opens its doors to give families free access to the collection and special exhibitions. This month, you can be among the first to experience the exhibition Soutine / de Kooning, highlighting two major 20th century artists.

For safety’s sake, registration is required, and tickets will not be offered on-site. Registration will open Thursday, March 4, at 10am. On-site activities and performances are postponed until further notice.

We’re also offering activities and inspiration to enjoy at home. New content will be released every first Sunday to enjoy all month—check back March 7 for at-home activities inspired by Soutine / de Kooning.

A Safe Visit

We’ve made changes to our procedures to ensure a safe, inspiring experience for all:

  • Timed ticketing is in effect to limit the number of visitors inside the building and help facilitate social distancing. Please arrive no more than five minutes ahead of your scheduled time.
  • All visitors over age of 2 are required to wear a mask or face covering.
  • Coat check will be available; however, to facilitate a contactless experience, guests should avoid bringing large bags. All bags are inspected at entry.
  • Find everything you need to know about your next visit here.
