About the Event
It’s the first Sunday of the month, which means free admission at the Barnes!
This month, we’re exploring the connections between math and art that we can see every day. Find examples of geometry and perception in our galleries and see 3-D creations of Barnes paintings by students in Philadelphia and beyond. Enjoy fun family activities, catch music sets by DJ Giz, and explore our newest special exhibition, Alexey Brodovitch: Astonish Me, for free on opening day. Today, the galleries are opening early—see the exhibition starting at 9am and the collection at 9:45am.
Registration opens Thursday, February 29, at 10am.

At just 13 years old, DJ Giz has already been honing his spinning skills for five years. He has performed across Philadelphia at venues like the Please Touch Museum and the African American Museum, and today he brings his energetic mixes to the Barnes.
