About the Tour

Each month, Spotlight Tours focus on a different artist or theme, allowing for a deeper dive into specific areas of the collection.

Known for his freewheeling bohemian lifestyle, Italian painter Amedeo Modigliani developed a radical approach to painting the human figure inspired by African sculpture. His friendship with struggling Lithuanian artist Chaïm Soutine began when the two were living in Paris’s Montparnasse neighborhood. Learn about these two colorful characters and their contributions to modern art.

Includes access to the collection before and after the tour.
