Each month, Spotlight Tours focus on a different artist or theme, allowing for a deeper dive into specific areas of the collection.
Pablo Picasso died 50 years ago, yet we continue to feel the influence of his unfettered creativity on the art of the 20th century and beyond. Albert C. Barnes knew Picasso personally and bought several works in the collection directly from the artist. While exploring Picasso’s paintings in the galleries, you’ll learn about his life, friendships, and rivalries with Georges Braque, Henri Matisse, and Amedeo Modigliani.
