About the Tour
Each month, Spotlight Tours focus on a different artist or theme, allowing for a deeper dive into specific areas of the collection.
Vincent van Gogh arrived in Paris at a time when many young artists were eager to move beyond impressionism. In this tour, we’ll look at works in the collection by Van Gogh and his generation of avant-garde painters, including Paul Gauguin, Paul Signac, Georges Seurat, and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. See how these artists created highly personalized interpretations of reality, pushed the boundaries of expressionistic color and form, and redefined modern art.
Includes access to the collection before and after the tour.
