About the Event

Members at the Supporter and Sustainer levels are invited to join the Barnes and the Decorative Arts Trust for an evening exploring decorative arts in the Barnes collection.

Join us for a talk by Barnes senior researcher Kaelin Jewell, followed by a reception with light bites and complimentary drinks and access to the collection and Freedom Dreams exhibition.

The Barnes may be known for its modern paintings, but it also houses a remarkable array of decorative arts from all over the world. Arranged alongside masterpieces by Renoir, Cézanne, Matisse, and Picasso are iron door locks and andirons from the 1500s and 18th- and 19th-century furniture and ceramics made by local Pennsylvania German communities.
