Barnes Student Art Show
This new pilot program with Central High School celebrates the creativity and voices of Philadelphia students. Inspired by the expressive color and emotion of Henri Matisse and the fauvist movement, students explore culture, tradition, and identity through watercolor paintings. Their final works are on view today in the Lower Level Lobby. See the paintings, and join us for a presentation from 11am to noon in the Comcast NBCUniversal Auditorium.
Fauvist works like Matisse’s Joy of Life inspired these student artists.
