About the Class

Pull up a chair for this immersive conversation held inside the Barnes galleries and focused on a single work of art from the collection. In this session, we will examine the many facets of Henri Matisse’s Studio with Goldfish, a fascinating painting that commands our attention with its saturated color palette and innovative take on the artist’s studio. Instructor

Cindy Kang

Kang is a curator at the Barnes. She co-curated the exhibition Marie Laurencin: Sapphic Paris and served as an editor and contributing author for the catalogue. She specializes in 19th- and early-20th-century French art and has taught art history at New York University and Yeshiva University.
