About the Exhibition
Sky Hopinka (Ho-Chunk Nation/Pechanga Band of Luiseño Indians) is a widely celebrated artist who works in video, photography, and text. His art centers around personal perspectives of Indigenous homelands and landscapes. In recognition of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the Barnes has commissioned Hopinka to create a site-specific work for the Annenberg Court that thoughtfully explores and interrogates the American experience and its histories.
The installation is free and open to the public.
