Thom Collins: “A Preview of Calder Gardens”

Thom Collins, Neubauer Family Executive Director and President of the Barnes, provides an exclusive preview of Calder Gardens, a new space currently under construction across the Parkway from the Barnes. Dedicated to the art and ideas of Alexander Calder, a native Philadelphian who is considered one of the most innovative and influential artists of the 20th century, Calder Gardens will be operated by the Barnes and is expected to open in the summer of 2025.
Learn more about this exciting project, which features a building conceived by Pritzker Prize–winning firm Herzog & de Meuron and gardens by internationally acclaimed landscape designer Piet Oudolf.
Members are invited to join us in the Comcast NBCUniversal Auditorium on the Lower Level at the Barnes or online via livestream.
