Plan a visit over Mother’s Day weekend! We’re open from 11am to 5pm, Thursday to Monday.

The Barnes is home to one of the world’s greatest collections of impressionist, post-impressionist, and early modern paintings, with especially deep holdings by Renoir, Cézanne, Matisse, and Picasso. Assembled by Philadelphia native Dr. Albert C. Barnes between 1912 and 1951, the collection also includes important examples of African art, Native American pottery and jewelry, Pennsylvania German furniture, American avant-garde painting, and wrought-iron metalwork—it is unlike any art museum you’ve experienced.

Take a Tour

Guided tours are the ultimate way to experience the Barnes. Explore highlights of the collection, take a tour of our special exhibition, or learn about how paintings tell stories.

Private tours are also available. Led by a specially trained docent, this tour is a private experience for up to 8 guests. Minimum 2 guests per tour. You can also purchase gift vouchers for a private tour that can be redeemed at a later date.

Philadelphia’s renowned Constellation Culinary Group offers delicious fare at the Barnes.

Treat Mom to lunch or brunch (and maybe a cocktail or two) at the Garden Restaurant Thursday to Monday, 11am – 3pm, with indoor and garden seating available (weather permitting). Reservations are strongly encouraged; reserve on Resy. Last seating is at 2:30pm.

Located in Annenberg Court, Reflections Café is a relaxing spot to enjoy lunch and small bites. Choose from freshly made seasonal salads, sandwiches, and desserts as well as assorted beverages including wine and craft beer. Open Thursday to Monday, 11am – 4pm.

Barnes members receive a 10% discount.
