About the Event

It’s the first Sunday of the month, which means free admission at the Barnes. Enjoy fun art activities, performances, and free access to the collection and Alexey Brodovitch: Astonish Me.

This month, we’re presenting a full day of family fun in partnership with the Wilma Theater’s new opera Hilma, which explores the life and work of Hilma af Klint (1862–1944), one of the first modern abstract artists. Along with activities inspired by the painter and her spiritual connection to art and nature, there will be two special preview performances of Hilma by its cast.

Registration opens Thursday, May 2, at 10am.
