About the Tour

This tour is a private one-hour experience for you and up to nine guests.

Learn about two generations of 20th-century artists and designers—Isamu Noguchi, George Nakashima, Leo Amino, S. Neil Fujita, Kay Sekimachi, and Ruth Asawa—who reconceived American design in the aftermath of Japanese American incarceration in the 1940s. This tour reveals layered histories behind familiar objects, offering a broader story of American modernism—one told through the objects, forms, and ideas that continue to influence how we live with art today.

Tours are available Thursdays at 10am, 11am, and 3pm, and Friday–Monday at 10am, 11am, and 2pm. Reservations are required. Private tours must be requested at least four days in advance. To learn more or to reserve a tour, call 215.278.7200.

Includes access to the collection before and after the tour.
