About the Class

This one-day workshop celebrates the life and work of American video artist Bill Viola, the subject of our summer exhibition I Do Not Know What It Is I Am Like: The Art of Bill Viola. The class will examine his innovative contributions to video, sound, and installation art as well as the provocative themes that inspire his creations.

Jonathan Wallis

Wallis is associate professor of modern and contemporary art and curatorial studies and the Penny and Bob Fox Distinguished Professor at Moore College of Art & Design. In 2013, he was a recipient of the Christian R. and Mary F. Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching.
