About the Class

Go behind the scenes at the Barnes with archivist and historian Barbara Anne Beaucar, who will share some of our most cherished archival materials. Be among the first to study recently uncovered letters documenting William Glackens’s famous art-buying trip to Paris in 1912. See photographs Henri Matisse sent from his studio in Nice, France, showing the evolution of the Dance mural. Discover the story of paintings purchased from Georgia O’Keeffe and what transpired when Dr. Barnes returned them.
