About the Class

No artist had a greater impact on the art of the 20th century than Paul Cézanne. “He was like the father of us all,” Picasso said. What was it about Cézanne’s painting that inspired early modernists from Monet to Bonnard and continues to influence painters today? This two-day workshop will offer students the opportunity to analyze Cézanne and compare his work to that of Matisse, Picasso, Braque, and Modigliani.

Capacity: 18 students
