About the Class

Garden success begins with healthy soil. Improve your soil health by improving the physical, chemical, and biological properties of this essential aspect of gardening. Learn the basics, such as adding organic matter, adjusting soil fertility, growing cover crops, and making compost. Participants receive a kit from Penn State’s Agricultural Analytical Services lab to take home and test garden soil fertility.
