About the Class
Through the Kiefer Rodin exhibition, which presents one artistic titan’s homage to an earlier one, we gain a unique opportunity to explore an art form that appears throughout the Barnes collection. Investigate the myths about sculpture’s supernatural origins and powers and the special properties and language that make the medium so distinct from painting. Consider how the works of Kiefer and Rodin can be so much a part of their respective eras and yet also so akin to each other.
