About the Class
We constantly encounter images—whether in museums, on social media, or in glossy magazines. This course takes the principles of the Barnes method and applies them to everyday life, scrutinizing how visual communication works so that we can more conscientiously read the image-soaked landscape around us.
Chakars is associate professor of communication and digital media at Neumann University. His research has appeared in publications such as the International Journal of Communication, Journalism History, International Research in Children’s Literature, and American Journalism.
